Inspired by Bruce Lee films in my youth, I began training in Judo at the age of 15. That spark developed into decades of competitive martial arts, earning a 1st Dan black belt with the British Judo Association, winning many Welsh championships, and establishing my own Judo club. After stepping back from competitive fighting in my 40s, I sought a more mindful, restorative discipline and in 2017 began training in Tai Chi. Martial Arts introduce many benefits. Discipline, repetitiveness, inclusion, balance, determination and above all a mind & body connection. Taking all my experiences gained from Judo I now teach Tai Chi Shibashi style. It is a soft form of Martial Art that encompasses all of the above. I am a qualified practitioner of sets 1 and 2 with the Qigong & Feng Shui Institute. I have been teaching at three different Leisure Centres around Cardiff for three years with over 70 regular participants.
With the help of my wife, who will organise the administration, join us at Remotaichi and enjoy this rich heritage of focus, balance, and resilience to every session of Tai Chi Qigong. Take that first step, it leads to many more.

Great practice requires great coaching. In addition to over four decades Martial Arts, I hold a formal PGCE teaching qualification alongside the above certification in the first two sets of Shibashi Tai Chi through the Feng Shui Institute. This unique pairing means you are not merely copying movements; you are learning through clear, pedagogical structure tailored to guide you smoothly along your own personal developmental journey. Each and everyone of us has our own path to follow, but let's do it together.
